Green Glue Not Working

I am living in a pretty poorly constructed building where you can hear everything - neighbors from above walking upstairs as they have squeaky hardwood floor and you can hear their every step as loud as if they were in my apartment.

At the same time, you can easily hear neighbors from below - not just when they are playing stereo or TV loudly, but even when they are talking! You can even hear separate words if they talk loudly and you can hear them loud and clear if you listen the floor itself.

I decided to change that. Neighbors from below are the most annoying as they have parties till the early morning. Reading on the internet I found out about the Green Glue and how great it is supposed to be. So I executed two projects.

IIS7 - Www Redirect

wwwWhen setting up a website with your own domain name, you always have a choice of which name to use - with www prefix or without.

You can point both - the domain and www to the same website and forget about it, letting the search engines and people use whatever variant they want, but I personally prefer to stick to just one variant and have it enforced, so that all clients would always see the same Url. This sounds as a good idea as you would not need to worry about things like cookies, seo, cross domain references, etc.

Aging Internet

wwwRecently, a question came into my mind of what is going to happen with the internet names in the future.

It seems to me that even now, after just around 20 years of internet existence, a lot of reasonable internet domain names have already been taken in all of the top level domains.

Why Drupal?

Why did I choose Drupal over other engines? What lies under this decision? Many people knowing me might be surprised with the choice I made, but please let me explain.

1. DotNetNuke

Dnn is a powerful .Net engine to build sites with MS technologies and it was the first thing I tried.

Blogging is one of those things I was always interested to start but never really had time and or ideas of what to write about.

As I originally thought, a good blog should be dedicated to one specific area or subject and this is what would make the blog interesting to others.
